On Saturday, April 19th, 2025, the vibrant town of Mamponteng came alive with rich culture, creativity, and community spirit as we celebrated the much-anticipated Kwabre Aweneɛ Festival under the broader Ashanti Festival banner.
From 9am to 2pm, the grounds were filled with the rhythms of traditional music, the beauty of indigenous craft, the artistry of wood carving, and the bold patterns of authentic Kente and Adinkra textiles. It was a truly remarkable display of Ashanti heritage and craftsmanship.
We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the esteemed traditional leaders whose presence and support added great significance to the celebration: Nana Bobie Ansah( Chief of Bonwire), Nana Adu Gyamfi Ntiamoah( Adontehene of Adanwomase), Nana Yaw Adom Owusu Nana (Akwamuhene of Antoa) and our Honorable Regional Minster Dr Frank Amoakohene
Your commitment to preserving our cultural heritage and your unwavering support for community development continue to inspire us all. Your presence at the festival honored us and reminded everyone of the strong foundation on which our traditions stand.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this event possible, our hardworking artisans, enthusiastic attendees, dedicated vendors, and supportive community leaders. Your energy, presence, and contributions brought the festival to life and reminded us of the power of tradition in uniting us all.
Special thanks also go to our event organizers, cultural performers, and sponsors who believed in the vision of preserving and celebrating our cultural legacy.
Let’s continue to support local art, culture, and history not just during festivals, but every day. The success of the Kwabre Anwenne Festival is a proud moment for us all, and we look forward to making it even bigger next year.
