Chairman Ayamba Pays Courtesy Calls on Key NPP Figures in Yendi

The newly elected First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region, Chairman Ayamba, has paid courtesy calls on two prominent figures from the Yendi Constituency—Alhaji Inusah Amadu, popularly known as Dagomba Boy, and Alhaji Habib Tijani.

Chairman Ayamba was accompanied and led by members of the Yendi NPP Council of Elders, who joined him on the courtesy visits as part of efforts to strengthen unity, consultation and cooperation within the party.

Alhaji Inusah Amadu, popularly known as Dagomba Boy, was a candidate in the recent NPP Northern Regional Chairmanship election but was unsuccessful in his bid. Alhaji Habib Tijani is a former Member of Parliament for Yendi and a former Ghanaian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Both personalities are prominent stakeholders in the Yendi Constituency.

The visit is seen as a significant gesture, considering the important roles both personalities play within the NPP in Yendi. Chairman Ayamba used the occasion to formally introduce himself in his new capacity, seek their blessings and solicit their cooperation as he begins his tenure as the newly elected First Vice Chairman.

Chairman Ayamba emphasised that addressing the challenges confronting the NPP in the Yendi and Mion constituencies remains one of his priorities. He expressed his commitment to working with stakeholders to resolve these challenges in the shortest possible time and strengthen the party at the grassroots.

Alhaji Inusah Amadu and Alhaji Habib Tijani assured Chairman Ayamba of their readiness to support efforts aimed at strengthening the NPP and improving the party’s image across the Northern Region.

They expressed their commitment to working with the new regional leadership to promote unity, reconciliation and cooperation within the party, with the ultimate goal of positioning the NPP for victory in the 2028 general elections.

The courtesy calls therefore demonstrate the importance of consultation and unity among the party’s key stakeholders as the NPP begins preparations towards the 2028 elections.
