May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you, my dear brethren in faith.
Warmest congratulations on your Eid, a day that God Almighty has ordained as a joy for those who fast and a symbol of devotion and closeness to Him. This is the day of recompense, the day on which rewards are bestowed and blessings are showered, after we have spent the blessed month of Ramadan fasting, standing in prayer, and reciting the Quran.
Just as we have been disciplined during this blessed month, so should we remain till the next Ramadan, God willing.
Our message to the member of parliament for our constituency, Hon. Giziella Agbotui Tetteh: Please convey our heartfelt greetings and sincere gratitude as the Muslim Ummah of Ghana 🇬🇭 to our President, Head of State, President John Dramani Mahama, for the invaluable services he has provided us, such as the fare decrease for Hajj pilgrimage and the Eid al-Fitr holiday increase. We hope that he would heed our plea to uphold the fundamental freedom of each and every citizen of this country to practice their faith and express their opinions, unless they are seditious or against our Ghanaian values, especially with regards to the hijab of our daughters and wives in schools and workplaces. We hope this will be achieved as soon as possible, praying for his complete health and wellness. We have not forgotten his Vice who is seeking medical attention, Professor Nana Opoku Agyeman. We implore Allah to heal her and all our ailing ones.
Finally, to Muslims around the world, do not forget our oppressed brothers and sisters in Gaza, Nigeria, and all over the world. Let’s rally around them through our platforms by praying for them and amplifying their message of resilience.
