PART 2 || YOU CAN STILL GET IT RIGHT WITH YOUR MARRIAGE || PASTOR MILDRED KINGSLEY OKONKWO

●It is important to have an encounter with God before you marry. You must not make plans without telling God.

● A person may be in your church that is good but you must constantly ask these questions (sincere questions) as a single person before considering marrying anyone:
• Is the person good for me?
• Is the person God’s choice for me?
• Is this the person I want to go the journey of life with?
• Do I want to reproduce after this kind?

●A lot of people marry and don’t know what marriage is about because marriage is destiny.

●Love is the smallest factor in marriage.

●Marriage is entrusting your life to someone. You join your life with another declaring that you are one with the person. Marriage is a covenant and the only thing that must separate the two is death.

●When you are marry, you become one body. Cutting of the head of that union (body) is death.

●When you marry, you marry families- the natural and the spiritual families.

●When you marry a believer God is your father-in- law and Satan is your father-in-law when you marry an unbeliever. Fathers-in-law are allowed in the home of their children.

●When Satan is your father-in-law he does not come empty handed. He comes with his entourage that means his demons come too. This must let you know that there is a supernatural world that you must not play with.

● When you marry an unbeliever you willingly and lawfully enter the family of Satan, your enemy, as a captive. Marrying an unbeliever is a play with destiny.

●Marrying a believer sets the foundation for God to work in your marriage. When you or your spouse is misbehaving the Holy Spirit can chastise and correct any of you because you belong to him.

●As a single person never marry an unbeliever.

●Single people still have the chance to make/ do it right when it comes to marriage.

●You are the one that determines the outcome of your marriage.

● Never marry an unbeliever when you are a believer. It is not optional. What concord does light have with darkness?

●Ladies determine the outcome of most marriages because they are the ones who choose. No one marries at gunpoint and no one forces you to marry.

●There is a difference between having an evil nature and being evil. The former is a nature and the latter is a behaviour.

● There is a difference between someone who has Christ and another who does not. A person who has the nature of God can do marriage God’s way.

●A nice person is not the fruit of the Spirit.

●A person who is not born again is spiritually dead. If you won’t marry a dead body in the physical why marry one spiritually?

● Having a butterfly feeling about someone when in love fades away. (Butterflies have a lifespan of about two weeks)

●You either marry a prayer point or a prayer partner. When you marry, you enter into a lifetime of intercessory ministry for your spouse. This differs from one marriage to other.

●It is selfish for a believer to marry a person on the way to hell and expect that person to love you.

5 THINGS TO DO WHILE WAITING FOR MARRIAGE - BY PASTOR MILDRED KINGSLEY OKONKWO

GOD doesn't wear our wrist watch so He shows up on His time, not ours.

There are five thing we can do while waiting to marry.


1. CONFESS THE WORD OF GOD

You can get a journal. Literally write it down and stand on the promise and the Word of GOD by believing and confessing God's promises.

Be a student of the Word and keep confessing it daily.

2. PRAY

if you're going to survive in the waiting period then you need to learn how to pray.

You need to pray because you have to silence the voice of doubt and also hear GOD'S voice in every step you take.
Hearing GOD'S voice is a reminder that God is with you.

Prayer will also strengthen your resolve to wait upon the Lord.

3. SOW SEEDS

Sowing seeds should NOT just be financial but also in other things. When you also support and help others on their moments of rejoicing, you are sowing seeds.

4.PREPARE FOR THE THINGS YOU ARE TRUSTING GOD FOR.

Faith should build corresponding action in you. Faith is preparation.

5. HAVE PATIENCE

Patience is how you wait. Learn to wait the right way. Waiting is in resting in GOD .

THEY BULLIED ME. ARE YOU BEING BULLIED TOO?

When I was in my first year in the senior secondary school, I was just a boy with a small stature.

My seniors, even those who were just a year ahead of me could mistreat me and some of year mates in the name of just showing their "seniority".

I noticed that they couldn't do the same with a bigger, taller and seemingly stronger boy even though he was in first year.

The seniors were afraid of him.

The lesson I learnt was that I was being mistreated not because I was in first year but because I wasn't strong enough to resist the seniors.

The bully of Satan in your relationship, marriage and life is not because you are a lady or man.

It is because you are not strong enough or perhaps you are not engaging the power of the one who had conquered him already.

Tomorrow at 5a.m, we assemble before the Lord deploying his power in our relationships, marriages and families at the Lovers In Faith Prayer Meeting
