WORD_FOR_THE_NITE WEEKEND SPECIAL
WHAT LIES AHEAD OF US? (III)
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21)

Good evening dear one. Trust you are faring well? 
Today, we look at the another episode of What Lies Ahead of Us.

The truth about life is, unless it is revealed to you, no one knows what the future holds for them. The best we can do is hope at it.

The beautiful thing is that, the Creator, Inventor and Orchestrator of the Universe, knows what was, is and will be. This includes your life and what He has for you.

As Proverbs 19:21 says, Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand. 
Again, in Jeremiah 29:11, the Bible says
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

God promises a good future and a hope for that future. What we have to do is to trust in Him and work towards what He has for us.
We have to let him lead the way and show us how to follow Him.

Most times, we don’t see the bigger picture and so it tends to cloud our judgements and impede our thoughts.

A scenario is made of a dog owner who sends his dog to the veterinary doctor to be vaccinated. The owner has a good intent - to make the dog strong, healthy and disease resistant. But because the dog is going through the pain of vaccination, it has it at the back of the mind that the owner is wicked and causing it to suffer whiles he just looks on. In the long run and in the bigger picture, it is for the dog’s good. 

The bible says in Romans 8:18 that “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us”.

There is a glory ahead of us, there’s victory and a future. Let’s have hope and walk in the way of the Lord towards it. For He has great things lying ahead for us.
