Grandma Bakes Grandchild

Heartbreaking Tragedy in Mississippi

1-year-old Royalty Floyd was reportedly stabbed and then placed in an oven by her own grandmother. The baby lived with her at the time, while both parents stayed elsewhere.

A relative who stopped by asked where the child was. The grandmother said, “She’s in the oven.” When he checked, the oven was still on… and little Royalty was already gone — burned beyond recognition. Her funeral had to be closed casket.

Her mother shared on Facebook:
“I’m being told that my mother stabbed and baked her in the oven. But my mother loves my daughter. She always treated Royalty like Royalty…”

Meanwhile, the father says no one’s telling him anything. He’s in pain — and wants justice.

THE POWER OF TWO

Two childhood friends, Elom and Kafui, had dreamed of making it big from their early years. Both were brilliant and hardworking, but life had dealt them different hands. Elom came from a modest family and struggled to pay his way through school, while Kafui’s family was relatively well-off. Despite their differences, they had always been inseparable until graduation.

After earning their degrees, Kafui, emboldened by his family's connections, went straight into the business world. He had access to resources that made starting a venture easier. Elom, on the other hand, had to take odd jobs to support himself while dreaming of starting his own business one day. They both harbored dreams of success, but pride and a desire for independence began to pull them in separate directions.

Kafui thought he could make it on his own, and Elom felt he had to prove himself by building something from scratch without anyone’s help. They had forgotten the bond that had once made them strong together. They believed in being self-made bosses, determined to be the rulers of their own tiny kingdoms. But in reality, they were each struggling in their own way. Kafui faced immense pressure to sustain his business, and Elom’s frustration grew as he couldn’t get the funding he needed to bring his ideas to life.

Months passed, and while Kafui's business stagnated, Elom’s ideas remained on paper. They had stopped talking, each focused on their individual grind, feeling that success could only come by standing alone.

But fate had other plans.
One day, Elom happened to run into Kafui at a mutual friend's wedding. It was an awkward encounter at first. They exchanged pleasantries, but beneath the surface, both carried the burden of unspoken frustration. As the evening went on, they found themselves seated together, away from the crowd. After a few moments of silence, Elom sighed.

"I’ve been trying so hard to get something going," he admitted. "But I can't seem to get the breakthrough I need. Every door feels locked."

Kafui looked at his friend, surprised. "Funny thing is, I’ve been struggling too," he confessed. "I have the resources, but I lack something, something that seems to keep holding me back. It feels like I have the door, but no key."

For the first time in months, they both laughed, realizing they were experiencing the same struggle from different angles. And then it clicked. The very lesson they had ignored all this time became clear. They needed each other.

Elom had brilliant ideas and a vision for innovation, while Kafui had access to the capital and connections that could bring those ideas to life. Together, they realized they were unstoppable.

The following week, they began working together. Kafui provided the funding and business connections, while Elom developed the innovative strategies and managed the operations. With their combined strengths, they launched a tech company focused on creating affordable solutions for small businesses in Ghana.

Within a year, their company skyrocketed to success. Investors were pouring in, and they expanded across the country. What once seemed like an impossible dream had become a thriving reality, all because they had finally understood the power of collaboration.

They both smiled when they thought about their old selves, so determined to go it alone. The lessons they had learned were clear: wealth isn’t built by one person hoarding everything; it is built by people coming together to share in the opportunities that life presents.

Their story became a local legend, a powerful reminder that it is wiser to share an abundant forest than to rule over a barren desert with a single tree. As they stood together at the grand opening of their new corporate headquarters, Elom smiled at Kafui and said, "I may have found the door, but you had the key."
Kafui grinned. "Together, we unlocked everything."
