Takoradi Woman Confronts Alleged Thief at MTN Office After Shocking Hotel Incident
According to an eyewitness, he had gone to the MTN office to replace his lost SIM card. While quietly minding his business, he suddenly heard loud shouting. A woman, the same one you see in the video, had grabbed a gentleman and was yelling:
“So this is you, right? Nti wo nie? Is this how you are? Nti saa na wotes?”
The man, visibly shocked, replied:
“You? I was only helping you!”
By this time, everyone’s attention was on them. The MTN security quickly stepped in, holding the man as the woman began narrating her ordeal.
According to her, she had travelled all the way from Takoradi the previous night in search of someone. Along the way, she met this gentleman and another man who offered to help her. During their conversation, she also mentioned she was looking for a job. The man confidently assured her not to worry, claiming he drives a company car and could assist her.
Fast forward, they couldn’t find the person she was searching for, so she decided to lodge at a hotel for the night. Out of kindness, she allowed the man to stay with her. She insists he slept on the floor while she slept on the bed — but as the saying goes, we weren’t there, so who are we to judge?
Around 4 a.m., the man told her he was hungry and was stepping out to buy food. She even gave him money to buy some for her as well. Little did she know, he had other plans. He vanished with her Samsung tablet and, to make matters worse, also stole money from the hotel reception!
Unfortunately for him, the hotel had CCTV cameras that captured everything. The staff confronted the lady, showed her the footage, and held her responsible since she was the one who brought him there. They even seized her bag until she paid for the stolen money.
That was why she went to the MTN office — to replace her SIM so she could withdraw money via MoMo and settle the hotel. And as fate would have it, guess who she spotted passing by? The very same guy!
She immediately raised the alarm. Security detained him until she went to Abuakwa Police Station. When she returned with a police officer, he was finally arrested. 💔
