The Experience with at_kixel in Sunyani was a huge success, bringing together photographers, alongside talented videographers, a makeup artist, a hairstylist, and a professional model, all united by one goal: to learn, grow, and create.

Day One was dedicated to learning. We went beyond the camera and explored topics that many creatives often overlook, yet are essential for building a lasting career in the industry.

We had insightful discussions on:
• The importance of mentoring and mentorship
• Building a strong brand and creative identity
• Understanding the business side of creativity
• Mastering different lighting techniques and knowing the right approach for every shooting environment

Knowledge is powerful, but application is everything.

We wrapped up the session with a practical shoot, where participants put theory into action, experimented with lighting, directed our model, and created some amazing work while receiving hands-on guidance.

This is exactly what Experience with at_kixel is about, creating a community where creatives don’t just learn photography, but develop the mindset, skills, and business knowledge needed to thrive in the industry.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made the Sunyani edition a memorable one. This is only the beginning.
