The National Democratic Congress youth group 'Tizaa Youth' in the Kumbungu constituency locked the Kumbungu district YEA office today.
This youth group was one of the active groups that toured the length and breadth of the constituency, campaigning for the ruling NDC to come to power.
The group's Secretary admitted in a video that the NDC as a party in the Kumbungu constituency doesn't deserve peace because, since the party came to power about 9 months ago, the party leadership has turned its back on the youth group.
He added that while they were touring the constituency with the party's message during the campaign, they made promises to Kumbungu and its surrounding villages. They were bombarded with questions about past members of parliament, DCEs, and party executives, including the current NDC Council of Elders' Northern Region representative, Alhaj Lawyer Mumuni, by many youth groups across the constituency.
His only point of appreciation was that the party brought the district assembly to Kumbungu. He also stated that the party isn't helping or developing the Kumbungu constituency despite the love and support the constituency has for the ruling National Democratic Congress.
