ALHAJI TOYIBA MAHAMA: THE CHAIRMAN NPP NEEDS TO REIGNITE ITS BASE IN THE UPPER WEST REGION AHEAD OF THE 2028 GENERAL ELECTIONS!!!

Alhaji Toyiba Mahama is a stalwart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Upper West Region. Despite facing setbacks—including three unsuccessful bids for the regional chairmanship—he has remained resolute in his service.

Title: NDC Political Knockout That Sparked a Storm in the Municipality

In what started like a normal internal election has now turned into a full-blown political tension in the NDC party within the municipality.

It all began during the constituency youth organizer elections. Hon. Pelpuo, the MP for the constituency and a strong force in the NDC, believed he had full control over who gets what in the party. He chose a candidate to contest for the youth organizer position, someone he believed would easily win with his support.

But when the day came, something unexpected happened. The young and energetic Nba Oli, who was also contesting, shocked everyone. With courage and confidence, he faced Pelpuo’s candidate in the election ring and gave him what many now call a "political knockout." It wasn’t close. Nba Oli won clearly and took the youth organizer slot.

That moment changed everything.

Hon. Pelpuo didn’t take the loss lightly. To him, it wasn’t just about his candidate losing, it felt like a personal insult. Since that day, Pelpuo and some of his loyal supporters have been unhappy with Nba Oli’s victory. They don’t want to see him rise. All they wish for is his downfall.

So when the YEA position became vacant in the municipality, Nba Oli’s name came up as a strong and qualified person for the job. Many believed it was time for him to be rewarded for his hard work and dedication.

But guess what? Pelpuo stood up again.

He made it his mission to block Nba Oli from getting the position. Moving from one office to another, he used all kinds of tricks and stories to stop it from happening. And sadly, he succeeded. The position was given to someone else, leaving many shocked and disappointed.

This is the turning point of the story. The youth are watching. NDC members are beginning to ask tough questions. And the silence is growing louder.

Is it about personal pride or the progress of the party? Is it fair to fight your own just because of a past election?
