Today, I saw a post on Facebook where my brother, Wumpini of Wumpini News, was insulted for no reason. I felt bad and wanted to respond, but I decided to stay calm and handle it peacefully.
Here’s what happened:
A TikTok video has been trending. In the video, two well-known TikTokers from Tamale, Grandpapa and Asoja, were live with a female TikToker named Yeesha. They both tried to impress her by sending her money—Grandpapa sent 10,000 Ghana cedis, and Asoja sent 5,000 Ghana cedis.
When Wumpini saw the video, he made a simple comment: “I used to think some of these guys were wise because of their fame. I was wrong. TikTok has exposed their childish mindset.”
Grandpapa didn’t take this well and insulted Wumpini on his social media page. He even questioned what Wumpini has achieved in life.
As Wumpini’s brother, I wanted to respond to Grandpapa, but I realized it’s not worth it. Life is too short for unnecessary fights. I want to advise Grandpapa to apologize to Wumpini. Fame and money come and go, but respect is what lasts.
Let’s use social media to spread positivity, not to attack others. We all deserve respect.
