Political Desperation: This is a clear attempt to use cheap tricks and deception to gain political leverage.
While we stand by the democratic right of every Gambian to express their opinions, we condemn the use of edited or misattributed content to spread falsehoods. Verify the source before you spread the story.
Furthermore, the UDP GASH Chapter sees no issue with the content of the audio, as it represents the personal views of a fellow comrade. Our party prides itself on fostering a robust internal democracy where members are encouraged to speak their minds freely on the political future of our nation.

BOB TOURAY EXPELLED AS UDP FINLAND CHAPTER CHAIRMAN

The UDP Finland 🇫🇮 Chapter expels Bob Touray as their chair with immediate effect. Finland Chapter can not expel anyone from the party, and therefore, they have no power to expel him from the party.

The reason for his expulsion is that the chapter received irrefutable evidence of his association, membership, and executive position of the Unite Movement.

The United Movement threw Bob Touray under the bus by sharing his audio where he was categorically bad-mouthing UDP and distancing himself from the party. The Movement also shared a video screenshot of Bob Touray as an admin of their diaspora media team. In the screenshot, you can see Bob adding members and actively participating in all their discussions.

The Finland Chapter also withdrew Bob Touray as their representative in the UDP Chapter reps group. The chapter is also calling on the diaspora to immediately expel him as the diaspora campaign and organizing chair. Failure to do so means Finland Chapter will withdraw from the diaspora.

Attached below is one piece of evidence of why the chapter expels Bob Touray. The rest of the evidence will be shared if he denies his association and membership of the Unite Movement.

Finland Chapter can not afford to have a double agent as their chair. Despite numerous calls from the chapter members, the chapter gave him the benefit of the doubt. With irrefutable evidence, the chapter is left with no option.

The executive and general membership wished to thank Bob Touray for the good job he did as the chair of Finland Chapter.

THE UNITE MOVEMENT FOR CHANGE
DIASPORA MEDIA posted a photo of us together with some of their party officials who attended our inaugural event as guests today, we took a group photo with them to update our followers on Facebook little do we know they are going to modify an entire apolitical event as a campaign for themselves.
During the course of the program, nothing like politics was discussed. As young Students leader, we invited them to serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration to the rural youths but not to discard our image and our organisation. This is shameful, disgusting, and disheartening. We are heartbroken.
The so-called movement owes us a public apology for the attempt to deform our image.Spreading misleading information for political gain is uncalled for. This is an organisation that has nothing to do with politics. We invited you (Yahya Sanyang ) to grace this event without any political will or gain.
It's disappointing and hart broken to us as innocent students seeing ourselves in media over something that's completely different from our will. Therefore, from today, we distance ourselves from you and the movement. We regretted inviting you to our program.And please delete this message and give a public clarification and apology to ORCHARD.

GAF COMBAT ENGINEERS' EOD TEAM CONCLUDES 3 WEEKS OF REFRESHER COURSE.
The Gambia Armed Forces Combat Engineers' EOD Team, a specialized unit that deals with Explosive ordnances and Disposals have concluded a 3 week refresher course for 15 of its personnel on Wednesday 6th March 2024 at Tintiba Firing and Demolition Range in the Foni Kansala, West Coast Region.
The 3 weeks of intensive and vigorous training included the intricacies of demolition procedures to the complexities of explosive theory and understanding Land Service Ammunition to mastering the detection and disposal of Unexploded ordnances.
The graduation ceremony was graced by the Inspector General of the Gambia Armed Forces Lt Col Babucarr Sanyang who ably represented the Chief of Defence Staff Gambia Armed Forces Lt Gen Mamat OA Cham, Officers and Men of 4 Infantry Battalion, Kanilia Barracks and members of the press.
