The Minister of Youth and Sports , Bakary Y. Badjie was in attendance to witness the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organization Late Omar Amadou Jallow “OJ” Super Cup final on Saturday 22 August 2026 between last year league Champions, Wagtab Warriors against Knockout Cup winners , Late Njuga Football Club at the East Park.

Badjie took the official kick-Off of the game in a Jam Pack SK East stadium.
Mustapha Camara scored the only goal of the game to win the coveted price for Late Njuga FC.

Former Spartak Moscow Technical Director is currently in The Gambia at the invitation of former Gambian international midfielder and ESohna Football Academy Founder, Ebrima Sohna.

The visit is aimed at exploring The Gambia’s football landscape and identifying possible areas of collaboration and partnership with Ebrima Sohna and the ESohna Football Academy.
The English man is a UEFA Pro Licence holder, he spent four years in Nigeria where he was technical director of Sunshine Stars before moving to Latvia as head coach of Ventspils.

In this video, he shares his thoughts on his visit, his observations about Gambian football, and the potential opportunities for future collaboration.

B.U.F.A. Beat Box Bi to Lift Manjai Super Cup

Bakoteh United Football Academy (B.U.F.A.) beat Box Bi 1–0 to clinch the Manjai Sports Association Cotton Raiser Super Cup today at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai K***a.

Under the wet pitch Salieu Ndure’s glancing header proved decisive as the Bakoteh-based side secured the coveted trophy.

As champions, Bakoteh United FA received gold medals 🥇 and a cash prize of D35,000.

Box Bi, meanwhile, received a consolation prize of D25,000.

Following the conclusion of tSerekunda West Sports Organisation on (SWESO) Alh. M. O. Faal Super Cup final, President James Gomez highlighted the numerous developmental initiatives undertaken by his committee since taking office.

Gomez said the executive has remained committed to strengthening the organisation, improving football activities and creating a better platform for teams, players and stakeholders within the Serekunda West community.

The experienced defender once again led Bilbao FC to another trophy in the Serekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) after a 2-0 win over Tababi in the late M. O Faal Super Cup.
Following last season’s remarkable unbeaten campaign and historic double the captain is ready to help the team to achieve great things this season.

Jammeh’s resilience, determination and composure at the back have been instrumental to Bilbao’s continued dominance, while his leadership on the pitch continues to inspire his teammates and defend the club’s colours with pride.
But the skipper says his journey in Naweetan football is nearing its final chapter.

Habibou Jammeh has promised to hang up his boots at the end of the season, bringing the curtain down on what has been an impressive career at the heart of Bilbao FC’s success.

On a scorching sunny afternoon at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium on Sunday, 9 August 2026 in the Alh M.O Faal Super Cup, Bilbao FC stamped their authority on the Serekunda West Sports Organisation football scene , adding yet another trophy to their growing collection of titles won over the past years.

At the heart of yesterday’s victory was young sensational prodigy Bangally Tunkara.
Coming off the bench, Tunkara produced a stunning match-winning impact, scoring two spectacular goals to inspire Bilbao FC to a 2-0 victory over Tabibi FC and further cement their supremacy at the West Park.
Yesterday’s win over Tababi is the 3rd in successive matches against close rivals.
