The draw for the 2026 World Cup is officially complete and all 48 teams now know their path. The tournament, hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico, will feature 12 groups (A-L) for the first time ever. Mexico landed in Group A, Canada in Group B and the US in Group D, each opening their campaign in front of home crowds.

There are already a few standout sections of the bracket. Brazil were drawn into Group C with Morocco, Scotland and Haiti, while France landed in a stacked Group I with Senegal, Norway and a playoff winner that many are already calling a potential “group of death.” Defending champions Argentina headline Group J, and England are in Group L with Croatia, Ghana and Panama.

Gambia Bars Musicians With Explicit Content From School Functions

The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) has announced a nationwide prohibition on musicians whose work includes vulgar, indecent, or otherwise immoral lyrics from performing at any school in The Gambia.

In a firmly worded statement issued Thursday, the Ministry criticized schools that continue to invite such artists despite earlier cautions, arguing that doing so “goes against the moral and educational standards schools are meant to protect.”

MoBSE stressed that schools must remain safe and respectful spaces for students, urging administrators, parents, and community members to ensure full compliance with the directive.

The ban is effective immediately across all public and private basic and secondary schools nationwide
