Recently, in the School of Business and Public Administration (SBPA) at the University of The Gambia, a new group has emerged under the name “SBPA Elites and Democrats.” This has raised significant concerns and questions among students, especially given that the only officially recognized political parties within the school have been Salvation and Team Competence.
The appearance of this new faction has led to much speculation and curiosity, as the individuals behind the group have not made their identities clear, nor have they provided any official explanation of their purpose. As a result, students are left wondering whether this is the beginning of a new political movement within the school or if these individuals belong to an already established but less visible group.
Many students are raising concerns, asking who these people are and what their objectives might be. Are they a new political party in the making, or are they a faction of existing groups that is trying to establish a new identity? The lack of transparency has only added to the growing suspicion that there may be multiple, unidentified groups operating within the school, potentially creating division or confusion among students.
The questions remain unanswered, and this situation has created an air of uncertainty around the future political landscape of the SBPA. What is clear, however, is that students are seeking clarity and transparency about the intentions of the SBPA Elites and Democrats, hoping to understand whether their actions align with the interests and values of the broader student body. Until further information is provided, the identity and purpose of this group remain a topic of debate and concern. We are also getting rumors about another team but the name is not known.
