The United Democratic Party (UDP) regrets to announce the passing of Lieutenant Colonel Mamatarr Secka of the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF), beloved younger brother of the UDP Deputy Party Leader, Aji Yam Secka.
Lieutenant Colonel Secka passed away in the early hours of Wednesday at Serrekunda General Hospital, as confirmed by the military authorities. Until his untimely demise, he served with dedication and professionalism as a Staff Officer under the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Mamat O.A. Cham.
The UDP extends its deepest condolences to Aji Yam Secka, the Secka family, the Gambia Armed Forces, and all those mourning this profound loss. Lieutenant Colonel Secka’s service to the nation will be remembered with respect and honor.
May Allah (SWT) grant him Jannah and grant his family the strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss.
