The Chairperson of the Sambatako Women’s Wing addressed delegates during the Upper Fulladu Constituency Youth Wing and CRR South Regional Committee meeting, where she spoke about their faith in Bensouda, particularly regarding their decision to decline the honorary fatherhood title. She was followed by Ebrima Sorrie Bah the commander of Operation UDP Lafa.

UDP Upper Fulladu Constituency Youth Wing, in collaboration with the CRR South Regional Committee, held a sensitisation meeting today, Saturday, 4th October, at the Bansang Bureau.

The meeting agenda included the announcement of the withdrawal of honorary fatherhood previously conferred upon Talib Bensouda by community groups, most notably the Sambatako Village Group.

Special thanks go to all attendees, including Hon. Nyawuru Komma and Hon. Haji Swanneh, both of whom are executives of the UDP Central Committee.

United Democratic Party National Youth Wing Clarifies Misleading Media Reports

The United Democratic Party (UDP) National Youth Wing has observed recent reports circulating in certain media outlets, including Fatou Network, claiming that Mr. Kemo Bojang has resigned from his position as Secretary General of the UDP National Youth Wing.

We wish to clarify that this information is inaccurate. Mr. Kemo Bojang has not held the position of Secretary General of the UDP Youth Wing since the 2022 National Congress. The duly elected and serving Secretary General of the UDP National Youth Wing is Hon. Bubacarr M. Kanteh, who was elected at the 2022 UDP National Congress held in Jangjanbureh, Central River Region South. Hon. Kanteh has since carried out his duties with distinction, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the values and mission of our great party.

The UDP National Youth Wing remains steadfast in its allegiance to the party and its leadership under His Excellency Lawyer Ousainou Darboe. Our mission is clear, to champion the vision of a just, transparent, and accountable government dedicated to the wellbeing of all Gambians.

While the right of any individual to resign from a party or position is respected, we emphasize that unity, focus, and loyalty to the collective struggle remain paramount. We urge all militants and supporters to resist divisive narratives rooted in tribal politics, which only weaken our national fabric and distract from our common goals.

The UDP Youth Wing is not merely a political structure, it is a movement of young Gambians committed to building a brighter and more inclusive future. Guided by the principles of transparency, justice, and unity, we will continue to stand with our leader, H.E. Ousainou Darboe, to strengthen the UDP and deliver hope and progress for The Gambia.

We extend our deepest gratitude and heartfelt praise to Honorable Amadou Sanneh, whose relentless and extraordinary efforts were instrumental in bringing this vision to life. His unwavering commitment and leadership have made this standard-setting mosque a reality, and the joy and pride felt by him and the entire community today are immeasurable. This is indeed a biggest milestone and a profound blessing for us all.
The inauguration was a joyous event, attended by many dedicated party militants and cherished members of our community, all sharing in this wonderful moment.
May this mosque be a beacon of peace, a center for learning, and a place of spiritual solace for generations to come.
