UDP’s Iran-Israel War is Giving CakeWalk Presidency to Barrow- Sabally

Special Presidential Adviser and Deputy ruling NPP strategist, Momodou Sabally has unapologetically criticized KMC’s Mayor over UDP’s recent flag-bear row, describing the situation as Iran-Israel war.

Speaking to Star FM’s ‘Wake-up Gambia show’ this morning, Mr Sabally alleged that Darboe will destroy Mayor Bensouda politically without firing a bullet as he labeled the veteran politician as a master strategist who is giving Talib a long road to self destruction without uttering a word.

“Ousainou Darboe knows about Talib’s intentions but, he is doing it in a manner like: giving a long rope to a fool to gang himself. Darboe will destroy Talib without a word because, He (Talib) is impatient and over ambitious ” Sabally stated.

He argued that he got more adopted honorary sons and daughters within UDP than Talib, even after his departure from the party but, he had no time ever tried to use that opportunity to launch a political movement within UDP or to overshadow, Ousainou Darboe. He explained that all such honours of adopting party members as fathers or mothers are normally dedicated to the Party Leader, Lawyer Darboe.

The NPP Deputy National Campaign Manager formerly, National Campaign Manager for UDP said, Mayor Bensouda’s inauguration of his honorary sons and daughters in Farafenni was a failure. He argued that the presence of Darboe broke things apart for Talib, as the presence of the veteran politician snatched the show from his son.

Mr Sabally an Economist cum-politician also shared his opinion on BAC Chairman, Yankuba Dabo who he said, will never reach a compromise with Talib over this flag bearer saga.

“Yanks cannot be bought neither manipulated by anyone. Any day, Yankuba Dabo endorses Talib for flag bearer that will be the end of his political career. It’s safe to say, in a billion years the two young politicians, Talib and Yanks will never reach a compromise” Sabally said.

The Special Adviser highly hailed the BCC Mayor for her boldness to speak about Talib and his impatient team saying, Rohey has been pushed to the wall and can do nothing more or less than to retaliate.

“Rohey should not be underestimated by anyone in our politics. She is highly influential across the country and cannot allow herself to be continuously abused by people she is in the same group with. Her decision of speaking out was great because, Talib is the most toxic politician in our country’s history” Sabz alleged.

Despite, the fact that he decamped from UDP for ruling the party and currently serving as Special Adviser and Deputy Campaign Manager, Mr Sabally is often accused of meddling into UDP’s internal affairs which some party members deemed unfair.

Asked what UDP’s internal row means for President Barrow, Sabally said the current UDP’s rift is giving a cakewalk Presidency to Barrow and he vowed to bring more of Talib’s supporters to NPP in coming weeks due to the highly sensitive flag-bearer tussle in UDP.
