Community Mourns the Loss of Soma Sitaba FC Manager Ba-Demba Ceesay.

The town of Soma is in mourning following the passing of Ba-Demba Ceesay, popularly known as *Demba Three*, a revered community leader and manager of Soma Sitaba FC. He passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

A founding member of Soma Sitaba FC, one of the town’s most prominent football clubs, Ceesay was a pillar of the community, known for his dedication to youth empowerment and fostering peace and unity in Soma. Until his death, he served as the club’s manager, leaving behind a legacy that many say will be impossible to replace.

"Demba Three was more than just a football manager—he was a mentor and a peacebuilder," said a close associate. "His impact on the youth and the entire community will never be forgotten."

His funeral was held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, in Soma, where hundreds gathered to pay their respects.

"To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return."
