The son of Alhaji Turo Darboe of Baddibu Salikenni and Mrs. Aja Amba Tiya Conteh, his childhood was shaped by strong values of discipline, faith and commitment.
He began his education in Baddibu Salikenni before moving to Latri K***a Primary School, where he built the foundation of his lifelong pursuit of knowledge. Later, he attended St. Peter's Technical High School in Lamin, where his curiosity for technology and innovative blossomed. This passion carried him far beyond The Gambia, to Fredericksburg Technical School in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he earned a Diploma in Electronic Technology.
But even as he pursued excellence in academics, Modou Turo Darboe never forgot his people. His education gave him technical skills, but his upbringing instilled in him something far greater: the duty to uplift others. Armed with knowledge and vision, he returned home not only as a trained technician but also as a man determined to use his resources, skills, and blessings to transform lives.
