I am writing to share my pride and admiration for Murray Connors, one of my former students at St. John's Catholic Primary School Tokarara in 2017. Murray was an exceptional student, known for his determination and passion for learning. He consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a keen mind, always striving to excel in everything he did.
As a teacher, it's heartwarming to see former students thrive in their chosen paths. Murray's achievements in rugby are a testament to the skills and values he developed during his time in my class. His impressive performance in the Hostplus Cup, playing for the Papua New Guinea Hunters, is a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work and dedication. Murray's stats speak for themselves: 21 appearances, 1 try, and 473 fantasy points in the 2025 season!
I am thrilled to see Murray's talent recognized, and I have no doubt that he will continue to make a name for himself in the rugby world. As his former teacher, I am proud to have played a part in his journey and look forward to seeing his future successes. Murray, you are a true inspiration to your peers and a shining example of what can be achieved with determination and hard work. Keep pushing yourself to be the best, and remember, your community is rooting for you!
