Greetings 👋 I don’t usually involve myself in social media noise and fabrication, but this time around I think I have to share this message with all my fellow artists because my name represents unity among tribes and ethics, and I grew up in a community where all tribes speak each other’s languages like their own. My music stands for ethics and diversity. I feel so uncomfortable whenever I see tribal statements circulating on social platforms, especially if it’s attached to my profession. As an artist, never attach yourself to anything that has to do with tribalism. We all understand everyone belongs to a tribe and community, but as a musician, you belong to the people. Your voice and influence are bigger than one tribe. Even politicians know that secret about you because music is a universal language; music belongs to no tribe. I think we should be careful about how we address things on social platforms; not anything that angers you should be spoken out. Sometimes our emotions and thoughts can be misinterpreted and may lead to our downfall. Attack is a very talented artist, no doubt about that; he made a name for himself big time, just like his inspirer Baibabou, whom I am the same generation as. I am pleading with the government to work with our ministry and the National Centre for Arts and Culture to help us and ensure the industry is well industrialised.
