SIERRA Leoneans are known to be among the most peaceful people in the world, we are not only peaceful, but we look so content in life with anything we are provided for or Carter for by our government. This peacefulness of Sierra Leoneans are sometimes interpreted by politicians as weakness or stupidity, which in fact, is not actually so. In spite of our peacefulness and law abiding natures, there is a quality that is imbibed in everyone of us by our Maker, it's such a unique quality that had stood tall in the past when we exhibited it as a people. What is this quality❓❓We are a RESILIENT PEOPLE, taking into consideration what this nation has gone through, what we as a people have gone through, how our resilience had helped us to conquer all these odds; ranging from the rebel war, Cholera out break, military interregnum (AFRC), flooding, mudslide, Ebola, austerity, and now Corona.
It's so unfortunate that since 2019, supporters of the ruling party, the SLPP, have been singing an anthem that does not sound good in the ears of the people of Sierra Leone. This anthem is now sung more than the National Anthem; at first, by the supporters, now by Civil Society Organizations and politicians of the ruling party. This anthem of postponement of our presidential election to 2024 is not a welcoming one and has no basis. What is baffling and at the same time so bizarre is, on which grounds these selfish politicians want to postpone our election? This is no longer an opinion or a rumour, as we have seen the likes of the Andrew Lavalie, Ibrahim Tommy and others have gone on air to start this campaign. What these people haven't realized is that, they have shot themselves in the legs long since. Now they want to use the Corona as excuse, they have forgotten that they have started this campaign way back in 2019, b
