The juiciest sweetest watermelon 🍉! The anticipation to come home and harvest this was strong and I still can’t believe how perfect it turned out. I’ve already shared with my neighbors and made watermelon juice! It’s 100% time to get a farm or even a humongo garden. Let the manifestation begin.

As the last days of my Gap Year wrap, it feels almost serendipitous that this chapter is ending with such a freeing and grounding experience in Bali. I am forever changed. Forever grateful.

24 months later and here we are! Every phase of having locs brings on a new opportunity for self discovery. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I learned about the foundational practices of tea making and it completely elevated my appreciation of tea. The experience of tea isn’t just about what tastes good, it’s about where it’s grown, how/when it’s harvested, how it’s brewed to extract all the natural benefits, etc. I can’t believe I accidentally stumbled in to this event CHONTEA & Co.. Arthur only comes to Bali once a year and this was Toshi’s first time. 🍵 Do you see the richness of the color of that matcha? And how magical it looks in the handcrafted tea ware? I knew it was going to taste heavenly, and it did!

Toshi shared that the clay they are now using to create the tea wares is clay that was harvested by his grandfather. I love products with layered stories.

I also learned the tea industry is now producing matcha in China to support the worldwide demand for matcha 🫤

p.s. No matcha slander will be allowed on this post!
