The Guam Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance on April 6 involving Ej Koninnis, 21, and Nuckman Koninnis, 27, according to a magistrate’s complaint filed in the Superior Court of Guam in Hagatna. The victim stated that Ej and Nuckman came home intoxicated that evening and that he told them that drinking alcohol was unacceptable. Ej became angry and threw a metal chair and a bucket at the victim. He then tried to force his way into the apartment and wrestle the victim to the ground, but the victim resisted. Nuckman intervened and calmed Ej down.
Shortly after, GPD received a report of a potential physical altercation involving two males in a Dededo parking lot and responded. En route, officers saw a group of males chasing another male, who was later identified as Ej, yelling incoherently. GPD apprehended and handcuffed Ej, noting a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and that he had bloodshot, watery eyes. Witnesses stated that Ej was being loud, disruptive, and threatening.
After Ej's arrest, Nuckman returned to the apartment to collect Ej’s bag. Once there, Nuckman engaged in a verbal altercation with the same victim and punched the victim twice in the shoulder. After the victim went back inside the apartment, Nuckman threw a metal chair at the apartment door, followed by other objects, including a bucket, into the parking lot below. Nuckman then went to the parking lot and began yelling and throwing rocks at the victim’s door, causing debris to fall and hit parked vehicles. He went back to the second floor and threw a bucket off the balcony onto a dark blue Nissan Pathfinder, breaking the bucket and visibly damaging the front left side of the vehicle's front bumper.
When GPD arrived at the scene about an hour later, they found Nuckman sitting near the road on the south side of the property with an open can of Budweiser. Nuckman had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech, and appeared heavily intoxicated. He struggled to maintain his balance when officers moved him to a patrol car. Nuckman admitted to throwing things and rocks at the apartment and vehicles and causing damages.
Nuckman has been charged with criminal mischief as a third-degree felony, family violence as a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct and public drunkenness as violations. Ej has been charged with family violence as a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct and public drunkenness as violations.
