Meet Our Speaker for Cybertech Caribbean 2024.
Mrs. Feyona Austin Paul
Mrs Feyona Austin Paul is a policy developer at the University of Guyana, specialising in IT governance with cybersecurity as a key area of focus. She is responsible for developing policies that fortify the institution’s digital infrastructure. Her expertise extends to shaping cybersecurity policies and fostering an environment of cyber resilience at the University of Guyana. Having also served at the Competition and Consumer Affairs Commission in Guyana as an economist, head of consumer affairs and director, Feyona has over 15 years of experience in policy management, regulatory oversight, competition and consumer protection.
Feyona holds a diploma in communication, a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Guyana, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies from the University of South Wales. Currently, she is completing her LLM at the University of East London, focusing on the intersection of law and technology.
As a panelist at the CyberTech Caribbean Conference, Feyona brings a wealth of knowledge at the convergence of economics, policy, and cybersecurity, and is dedicated to advancing legal and regulatory frameworks that protect digital assets and ensure secure online environments.
