🇬🇾 Haitian-Guyanese producer, Michaël Brun just made history by producing the official Super Bowl anthem and we want the whole world to know! 😍🏆

Born in Haiti to a Haitian father and Guyanese mother, Brun is known for blending electronic music with traditional Haitian sounds like kompa and rara. According to his DJ Dubl interview, Saint JHN originally wrote the hook as a freestyle, and it was a short piece before Beyoncé and her team expanded it into a full song.
He mentioned that he wanted to create a song that, if he ever had a daughter, he could play for her to convey her beauty without using words. He also noted that it was the only record he ever sent to his Guyanese mother, highlighting its personal significance.

Saint JHN has always been proud of his Guyanese heritage and uses his GT accent in many songs. We think ‘Brown Skin Girl’ was inspired by our beloved folk song, but what do you think? Tell us how you feel about the song and did you know that a Guyanese wrote it?
