今天公布《智慧低碳建築工地最佳實踐指南》（下稱「指南」），屬行業首創聚焦減碳的實務指引，協助承建商制訂減碳策略，並優化相關流程。商會聯手商界環保協會 (BEC) 制定有關指南，引入「4M1E」框架 (人力、機械、物料、方法及環境) 歸納共36項智慧低碳措施，並獲發展局及環境保護署支持，為行業提供清晰可持續發展路徑，鼓勵公司實踐，攜手邁向政府2050年達致碳中和目標。

全球超過三成的碳排放與建築活動相關。在香港，減碳方面已取得一些進展，2020年的碳排放量較2005年水平減少約五分之一。面對氣候變化的挑戰，香港特區政府已訂立於2030年前將碳排放量減少26% 至36% 的目標。作為本地建造業的重要持份者，商會積極回應此目標，促進行業進步，首推《智慧低碳建築工地最佳實踐指南》，幫助承建商採納低碳技術和作業方法，實現綠色轉型。

香港建造商會會長廖聖鵬工程師表示：「商會一直致力推動建造業的可持續發展，而《智慧低碳建築工地最佳實踐指南》正是我們對發展低碳工地承諾的具體行動。這份指南從承建商的角度出發，提供切實可行的低碳建築方案，涵蓋施工過程及物料選擇等範疇。我們欣見這份指南獲得了發展局及環境保護署等政府部門，以及業界各持份者的積極支持。我們希望透過分享這些策略，鼓勵業界採納創新技術及可持續方法，共同為香港的碳中和目標作出貢獻。」
