Ch.1
This is the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in my life.
First of all, the restaurant environment was nice, it located in the front of the beautiful scene, and the food was decent. But the key issue was the behaviour of the female manager with long golden hair!
First of all, this was my first time visiting this restaurant to celebrate a friend‘s birthday. We ordered two appetizers and took some photos. The food was good, and the complimentary water was sufficiently cold, sitting by the sea in the summer really calls for chilled water.
At one point, the manager noticed that we had finished the bread we ordered. She asked, ”Do you need to fill more bread?“ At that moment, I wondered if it was free, or if it was charged per dish. Then she added, ”Do you want to order one more?“ That‘s when I realized she was asking if we wanted to order more. Her way of speaking was quite clever!
After a while, we planned to ask the waiter to bring out the cake with the whole package, including the bag. My friend went to inquire about the cake-cutting fee, and the manager said it would be $120 (all the staff in the restaurant spoke English). We instructed them to bring us the cake along with the box and bag, but after a while, they surprisingly took both the box and bag away and brought the cake out directly. We were quite taken aback because we wanted the birthday girl to open the cake herself. However, since it was already opened, we didn’t say anything and just kept taking pictures. The staff were very attentive until we were about to pay the bill, which came to $523. I paid first without checking the receipt, but my friend suddenly mentioned that the cake-cutting fee was $360? Why was it charged for three people? I immediately asked the staff, and the lady said the manager instructed them to do it. We were stunned and left in disbelief, discussing it further as we walked away. The more we thought about it, the more upset we became, so we returned to confront the manager.
