My Mom arrived in Hong Kong in the late 70s and one of my most vivid childhood memories is her taking in domestic workers who had nowhere to go, or needed temporary shelter, to our home.

Bethune House Migrant Women's Refuge, a charity close to my heart, has been Hong Kong's most reliable refuge for migrant women worker’s in crisis since 1986. They have given shelter, food, financial and medical assistance, and case support to up to 700 domestic worker cases annually. Sadly, due to funding applications falling through, they only have enough to operate for the next two months. Please help them raise some much needed funds by donating here:
