We believe corporate social responsibility should not be a window dressing or used as means to self-aggrandise a company and boost sales revenue. It is a commitment to society and people, a philosophy that underscores the importance of keeping the best interests of the wider society in mind. To put our belief into practice, we run a unique set of CSR programmes and activities that seek to maximise the interests of specific members of society. Among them include a make-a-wish programme whereby we hold fund-raising initiatives for cancer-stricken children in Hong Kong to have their wishes fulfilled. Spread’s team will liaise directly with the institutions concerned and assist them to make the terminally ill children’s dreams come true. We also organise meditation classes that cater to city workers and company executives, with a view to helping them improve their physical and mental well being in a city where people often work long hours and under stress.
