The red crimson valleys at Wushan, Chongqing are currently in full bloom! If you visit Chongqing this month, be sure to take an extra 2 days to visit!!

Did you know Wushan is a common place to see a “sea of clouds”, especially during Autumn and Spring?

Photos 1-4 Goddess Peak, legends say a goddess turned to stone to guard the river forever.

Photos 5 -7 The Lesser Three Gorges of Wushan boat cruise, a 50-mile-long masterpiece, painted in water, stone, and the deep reds of autumn.

Photo 8 Mujia Wushan County Homestay and cafe 目涯巫山. Part homestay, part cafe, where travellers swap stories of gorges and red leaves over steaming hot drinks

Photos 9- 11 Dragons Back Ridge Hike. The essential Wushan hike. Dragon’s Back Ridge gives you the panoramic, jaw-dropping view of the Yangtze River carving through the autumn-blazed gorges beneath your feet, that you simply can’t get from a boat.

- The relaxing must-do activity for red leaf viewing.
- You will take a large boat and then a small boat to see different parts of the Daning River, filled with steep crimson cliffs during the red leaf season.
- The journey includes a shift to the Mini Three Gorges section, getting you even closer to the foliage and clear water.
𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴:
- Enjoy local river fish dishes and the local speciality Paper-wrapped Fish (纸包鱼) for dinner at a restaurant in town.
- Take a stroll along the Binjiang Road (alongside the river) to see the city lights lit up in the dark mountains. You will feel like it’s very similar to Chongqing city!

- If you are early, you may see the “sea of clouds” with red leaves poking through the valleys!

✋ Chongqing is the cyberpunk city?
Yes it is, but right now, you should also check out the less touristy and unique📍WUSHAN CRIMSON VALLEY, when visiting Chongqing. The natural landscape flows down the valley in shades of red like a completely different world.

Additional info:

- The red leaves stretch across 30 kilometres along the banks of the Yangtze River, that’s plenty of photo spots and layers of red to share!
- - The ‘red wave’ this year is mid November til late December
- Take a boat cruise through the Wushan Lesser Three Gorges and Goddess Stream, or drive along the red valley roads, a really cool sight!

Ps. Follow if you want to know how to hang off this rooftop. 😂

Just back from a trip to the future, testing out the robots in Shenzhen. 🤯 We went to see the city’s incredible glow-up firsthand, testing driverless taxis, drinks delivered by drone, and robots so advanced they’re not even on the market yet!

The Mandarin Oriental in Shenzhen — fantastic breakfast buffet, amazing food and presentation at The Bay by Chef Fei and front-row seats to the city’s light show from their . Literally did not want to leave.
