Guys, your boy’s getting married.
It was 2016. I started guiding in Berlin. And I met this girl on my very first tour.
She was in all black. Bomber jacket, Dr Martin, and a beanie. I remember because it was friggin’ COLD and she’s wearing ripped jeans.
And she had a cold face. No words. Not even a subtle smile. Definitely not my type.
But life brought us together. After I returned to Hong Kong. We met again. Little did we know we would become lovers.
It’s such a wonderful journey. We learned to understand and explore ourselves. We rebuilt the relationships with our parents, friends and other people. She started to think and talk. I learned to be firm and grounded. We smile. We love. We grow.
She has always been my princess and my queen. She supported me all the way through when I was totally devastated during COVID. And I eventually came back alive and was inspired to become an expressive arts therapist.
In fact I wanted to apply for the master program years ago. But I was broke. Now I happen to have just enough money, so I put them all in.
But first my application has to be successful. Everyone says it’s very hard. I don’t know. I just told my girlfriend if I get enrolled, I marry you.
2 weeks after interview, HKU gave me an offer. So here we are. No big wedding. Just Family and some friends. We took pictures at places we love to go, like my fathers bakery and the rooftop of an old building.
So yeah, this September I will be a groom/husband starting my master program to become an therapist.
I still love to guide and I will continue to guide. But I will no longer try to advertise myself as a guide on the internet. I want to be integral and integrated. Just Armie, a real, full human.
So feel free to find me
Thank you for everything. Thanks for your good wishes. I hope to see you again! Life is amazing. There are darker times, but there will always be silver linings. Keep going, and don’t forget to smile.
May you flourish and shine.
Cheers,
Armie
