The number of fatalities from and that struck 's Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra has risen to 174, with North Sumatra Province reporting the highest death toll at 116, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said on Friday. According to the , the search and rescue operations are ongoing, and as some affected areas remain inaccessible to rescue teams, the data is expected to be continuously updated.

🙏 's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ( ) government on Saturday holds mourning events to express profound sorrow for the victims in the residential area fire in Tai Po. John Lee, chief executive of the HKSAR, together with principal officials of the HKSAR government and civil servants, participated in a memorial service at the government headquarters on Saturday morning. The national flag and the HKSAR flag are flown at half-mast at all government buildings and facilities across Hong Kong from Saturday to Monday, and principal HKSAR government officials call off all non-essential public events. Meanwhile, all recreational and celebratory activities organized or funded by the HKSAR government are either canceled or postponed depending on specific circumstances.

Southwest 's Autonomous Region has discovered 3,346 new cultural relic sites during the second phase of the fourth national cultural relics census, raising the region's total to 7,623, its regional cultural relics bureau said Thursday. The survey, which began in April 2024, covered all county-level units across Xizang. Significant findings include rock paintings in Sagya County, located at an altitude of 5,303.8 meters, making it the highest-altitude discovery in terms of newly recorded relics in China. Newly documented span ancient tombs, architectures, cave temples, stone carvings and modern historical sites.

🏠 Persistent heavy has triggered and landslides on 's Island. As of Friday, the disasters have claimed at least 116 lives across multiple areas of the island. The hardest-hit provinces—North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Aceh—have all declared a 14-day state of emergency for disaster response.

🙏 According to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Tai Po fire has claimed 128 lives, with 79 injured as of 15:00, Friday. The SAR government will disburse HK$200,000 in condolence payments to the families of each victim. Firefighting, rescue and search operations were completed at 10:18 am on Friday. A full evidence collection and investigation into the fire is expected to take three to four weeks.
Starting Thursday evening, the SAR government has handed out a cash subsidy of HK$10,000 to each of the displaced families, with the establishment of a HK$300 million relief fund for affected residents. Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption ( ) on Thursday started a special task force to conduct the investigation into possible corruption related to the major renovation project and arrested two directors of the engineering consultancy firm that had been overseeing the maintenance of the buildings on Friday.

🛟 The death toll in 's province has risen to 55 following severe in the southern region, authorities said on Thursday, warning the number is expected to rise as operations continue. Over the past week, southern Thailand has been hit by floods, with Songkhla being the most severely affected. The Thai government has declared a state of emergency in Songkhla province on Tuesday, and rescue operations are ongoing.
