LaGuardia Airport Disaster: Air Canada Flight Collides With Rescue Vehicle

On the evening of Sunday, March 22nd, an Air Canada Express flight operated by Jazz Aviation collided with an airport rescue fire truck while landing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA). The CRJ-900, arriving as Flight AC8646 from Montreal, was touching down on Runway 4 when it struck the vehicle, which had been crossing the runway during its taxi. The crash tragically claimed two lives and left several others seriously injured.
