Appel urgent à la collaboration pour prévenir un danger imminent !
Un appel urgent à la solidarité et à la collaboration est lancé afin de prévenir d’éventuels dégâts liés au risque d’effondrement du vieux pont reliant Morne Hercule et Nèrette, au niveau de Delmas 64.
Ce pont (passerelle) constitue un axe de passage essentiel pour les habitants de ces deux zones précitées. Il assure également une connexion importante avec Morne Lazare ainsi qu’avec de nombreux riverains qui l’utilisent quotidiennement pour leurs déplacements, leurs activités commerciales et leurs obligations scolaires.
Aujourd’hui, l’état de cette infrastructure est extrêmement préoccupant. Le pont est devenu très vétuste : les structures métalliques sont fortement corrodées, plusieurs fers sont pourris et en grande partie détachés du corps principal de l’ouvrage. Cette situation représente un danger réel et imminent pour la population.
Un accident majeur doit être évité à tout prix.
Nous saluons et félicitons chaleureusement l’organisation PRODECO pour cette noble initiative visant à reconstruire le pont afin de prévenir toute catastrophe liée à son éventuel effondrement.
Nous espérons également que cette initiative sera encouragée et soutenue par les leaders œuvrant dans ces zones, notamment les leaders évangéliques, en particulier les pasteurs LAURENT et VEILLARD, les directeurs d’écoles, les propriétaires, ainsi que tous les membres de la communauté. L’implication de chacun est essentielle pour garantir la réussite de ce projet d’intérêt collectif.
Nous invitons toute personne de bonne volonté, les institutions, les leaders communautaires et les acteurs engagés à se joindre à PRODECO pour faire de ce projet une réalité concrète au bénéfice de toute la communauté.

Urgent Call for Collaboration to Prevent a Major Risk !
We are issuing an urgent call for solidarity and collaboration to prevent potential damage related to the risk of collapse of the old bridge connecting Morne Hercule and Nèrette in the area of Delmas 64.
This bridge (footbridge) serves as a vital access route for residents of both communities. It also provides important connectivity to Morne Lazare and many other nearby residents who use it daily for work, school, business activities, and other essential needs.
Today, the condition of this bridge is extremely alarming. The structure has become very old and deteriorated; the metal reinforcements are severely corroded, and many of the iron bars are rusted and partially detached from the main body of the bridge. This situation represents a real and imminent danger to the population.
A major accident must be prevented at all costs.
We commend and congratulate the organization PRODECO for this noble initiative aimed at rebuilding the bridge in order to prevent any potential disaster resulting from its possible collapse.
We also hope that this initiative will be encouraged and supported by leaders working in these communities, particularly evangelical leaders—especially Pastors LAURENT and VEILLARD—as well as school principals, property owners, and every member of the community. The involvement of everyone is essential to ensure the success of this project, which serves the common good.
