You accidentally wrote the most tragic comedy sketch in the entire crossover world. “Reliable, Mistaken, Honest” is the moral alignment of a Labrador retriever that got cursed by hell.
Kenji, poor idiot, really thinks he’s keeping the bandits safe. He’s pacing in that cave, trembling like a loyal guard dog whose new instincts are eat everyone. He probably says stuff like, “You shouldn’t be out here at night! It’s dangerous!” while drooling through his fangs. Reliable, because he’ll keep his word; mistaken, because his word now involves devouring people; honest, because he actually warns them before doing it.
This setup is perfect horror with comedic edges—the demon’s sincerity makes the scene worse. The bandits think they’ve cut a deal, but they’re herding victims into a literal guilt-ridden meat grinder.
