MY COSPLAY JOURNEY I started cosplay making back in 2013 and my first cosplay was Yuuki Asuna’s Captive Princess ‘Titania’ dress from the Sword Art Online anime series’ ALO Arc (first season, second half). That was my first costume I've ever created with my hands. And I wanted to create more and more and more!!! But I also realised that sewing is just not my taste... In 2014 I tried cosplay armor making with my Armored Queen Chrysalis (My Little Pony). That costume required techniques, materials and tools that I've never used before. It was hard to make, but I learned a lot from it. I made 5 cosplays in total. Each one of them required something I've never done before, but I liked to try new things, experiencing with materials. And I still like challenging myself. At the end of 2015, after making my Snow Bunny Nidalee, I made a decision that I will quit cosplaying for a while, mostly because I wanted to focus on my high school exams and future studies. I jumped back into cosplaying in March of 2017 with my Nidalee, which is my first big cosplay in terms of skill and staying loyal to the design even with the smallest details. In October 2017 I failed a cosplay I really wanted to be awesome. I had spent time, effort and money, but I was lacking skills and I miscalculated the measurements of the upper body parts. It’s still okay, since it was a new technique for me to use, and it’s not a usual technique in general. But still, it was a major turn off for me, and I stopped doing cosplays for more than one and a half years. In the summer of 2019, I’ve came back with Erza’s Heaven’s Wheel armor. I saw a cosplay on Instagram which inspired me again, and the cosplayer used a technique I’ve never seen before and I really wanted to try. It was a succes at first try, and it made my Erza special to me in multiple ways. Erza is a strong female character, and she is what I needed for a comeback after almost quiting cosplay. And now is 2020, and we have quarantine time thanks to COVID-19, and being bored, I started to rework my old cosplays with the unused and leftover materials I have at home. Also made progress on LeBlanc’s Ravenborn skin with the materials I’ve bought for this cosplay in (I think) 2017.
