☀️ Sunny Afternoon at Marina Bay – My Dramatic Era, 2019
I sat on a park bench by Marina Bay, watching the sunlight shimmer across the water. A gentle breeze brushed against my hijab, and the sound of tourists laughing blended with the rhythm of footsteps. Warm coffee in hand, everything felt perfect, and yes, I was in full, softly dramatic mode, slightly tilting my head, smiling too sweetly, and pretending to be “annoyed” when a bird casually photobombed my camera view.
Back in 2019, life felt light and effortless. Oil prices were steady, the economic outlook was bright, and the energy industry was strong. I hadn’t yet faced the intensity of work, the structured layers of rules, or the double-duty schedule that would later consume my days. That sunny moment at Marina Bay felt like a quiet oasis, a space where I could be soft, dramatic, and fully myself.
For a moment, I let the world slow down, gazing at Marina Bay Sands glowing under the sun. My phone appeared occasionally to capture the most dramatic angle, because of course, every photo needed that signature dramatic flair. Life felt warm, sincere, and hopeful; no deadlines, no rush… just pure, unfiltered joy.
🌿 And now, looking back, I carry that memory with pride.
Because today, I may no longer have endless time for my dramatic moments… but I am proud to say I’ve grown, to the point that I am now working professionally with Singapore Airlines through its affiliate program. A different season, yet one I’m deeply grateful for.
