Today’s Sunday Class was a meaningful opportunity to learn more about the Noble Eightfold Path and how it can guide us in our everyday lives.

We explored the eight practices that help us develop wisdom, ethical conduct, and mental discipline:

Right View — understanding things clearly and wisely.
Right Intention — cultivating good and compassionate intentions.
Right Speech — speaking truthfully, kindly, and meaningfully.
Right Action — doing what is wholesome and avoiding harm.
Right Livelihood — choosing a way of living and working that does not cause harm.
Right Effort — continuously making an effort to cultivate goodness.
Right Mindfulness — being aware of our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Right Concentration — developing focus and a calm, steady mind.

The Eightfold Path reminds us that living the Dharma is a continuous journey. By practicing these principles step by step, we can cultivate a wiser mind, a kinder heart, and a more peaceful way of life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today and shared this meaningful journey of learning. We look forward to seeing you again at our next Sunday Class.

Today’s Sunday Class gave us the opportunity to look beyond the common stories and beliefs surrounding the 7th Lunar Month and understand it from a deeper Buddhist perspective.

Through today’s sharing, we explored some of the myths and misconceptions often associated with this month, while learning the importance of understanding the Dharma with wisdom rather than simply following what we hear or believe.

It was a meaningful session filled with learning, reflection, and discussion. We hope everyone went home with a clearer understanding and a more open perspective.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made today’s Sunday Class meaningful. Let’s continue learning, questioning, and growing together through the Dharma.

See you at our next Sunday Class!

🌿 SUNDAY CLASS — MINDFULNESS DAY 🌿
9 August 2026

Today’s Sunday Class was a little different. Instead of rushing through our usual activities, we took a moment to slow down, breathe, and simply be present. 🧘🏻‍♀️

Today’s Mindfulness Activity was led by Bai Xiang Veric Wijaya, guiding us through different ways to practice mindfulness:

🚶🏻 Super Slow Walking Meditation
Taking each step mindfully while noticing sounds, colors, light, the air around us, and appreciating our body.

🧘🏻 Sitting Meditation
Focusing on our breath, relaxing our body, and learning to notice our thoughts without judging them.

📝 Letting Go Activity
Writing down the negative thoughts, fears, anger, or comparisons we have been carrying and symbolically letting them go.

💬 Sharing Circle
Reflecting on what mindfulness means in our daily lives and connecting our practice with Dharma and Humanistic Buddhism.

Because mindfulness is not only about sitting quietly. 🌱
It is also about becoming more patient with our parents, kinder to our friends, and gentler with ourselves.

May we carry this peaceful mind beyond today and into our everyday lives. 🤍

May I be peaceful.
May my family be peaceful.
May my friends be peaceful.
May difficult people be peaceful.
May all beings be peaceful. 🙏🏻

✨ Special thanks to Mr. Andrianto and Mrs. Shunny Kwan for your support!🤍
