On 16th October, the Queen awarded the Polar Prize 2020 to opera singer Anna Netrebko.

The Queen awarded the Polar Prize 2020 to Anna Netrebko in connection with the singer holding a concert at the Concert Hall in Stockholm.

Anna Netrebko was supposed to have been awarded the prize last year, but the ceremony was then canceled due to the pandemic.💜

On 25th April, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited an activity center on the Nordic Museum's premises at Djurgården in Stockholm for children who had fled the war in Ukraine.

The initiative from the non-profit organization Beredskapslyftet in collaboration with the Nordic Museum aims to, with the help of newly arrived Ukrainian teachers and supervisors, facilitate continued schooling in accordance with the Ukrainian curriculum and offer activities, routines, safe environment and social interaction for children.

The activities that are offered free of charge to 100 children aged 6–10 are a mixture of play, lessons, Swedish lessons and excursions.💛💙

Crown Princess Victoria wore a blazer and pants from hm with her gianvitorossi pumps and Quidam clutch. She wore a blouse from gretastockholm. Thanks to Ufo No More!

📍14th June, 2023 - 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 Gotland 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲. 👑

During 2023, the King and Queen will visit Sweden's 21 counties on the occasion of The King's 50 years on the throne. On 14 June, the King and Queen visited the county of Gotland and the residence city of Visby.

The day began at Gotland's museum in Visby, where the royal couple got to see the exhibition 1361 - the battle for Gotland, which tells Gotland's entire medieval history and describes the people's living conditions.

The King and Queen also visited the Treasury with silver and gold objects from the Viking Age and the Picture Stone Hall with world-unique Gotland picture stones.

The royal couple then walked to Almedalen for a tree-planting ceremony where the King planted a walnut tree.

A commemorative program took place on Almedalen's stage with performances by, among others, the singer Elin Andersson. The King gave a speech.

Then Gotland's museum introduced the anniversary photo exhibition and unveiled the first subject. 🎞️

In the residence, the governor hosted a jubilee lunch. 🍽️

After lunch, the King and Queen visited Svenskbygården in Roma, where they were received by representatives of the Association of Svenskbyborna and the museum Svenskbygården.

The King and Queen were given a viewing of the exhibition The Swedish Villagers - a folk scrap in Sweden's history.

The royal couple also received information about ongoing aid work in Gammalsvenskby due to the war in Ukraine.

The anniversary visit to Gotland County ended with a visit to the National Archives (Landsarkivet Gotland).

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Princess Estelle of Sweden, Prince Oscar of Sweden and Prince Daniel of Sweden spent the last weekend of March, at the Icehotel and enjoyed the Arctic life with dogsledding, ice sculpting and an overnight stay surrounded by magical ice art in the design suite "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" designed by Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Oscar Kylberg, in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden 🧊 -March 31st 2022.
This looks like a beautiful place ❄️🧊😍.

📍: January 18, 2024 - 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐦 𝐁𝐲𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬.

On January 18, the King visited the Stockholm Bypass together with the Swedish Transport Administration in Stockholm, Sweden.

Most of the visit took place in the southern part of the 18 kilometer long tunnels. The Stockholm Bypass is one of the world’s most complex tunnel constructions and is planned to be completed in 2030.

From Lovö, the King went down the main tunnel. At the first stop, the King received information about the upcoming exits and entrances to the traffic areas at Lovö.

The second stop took place in the tunnel under Mälaren and the King was informed about the complexity of building a tunnel under water.

The final stop took place at the tunnel mouth in the King’s curve, where the King was shown the escape route and the service tunnel that runs parallel to the carriageways. 👷‍♂️🦺

🇬🇧: Last Saturday, June 18, Princess Madeleine shared this lovely new photo of her son Nicolas, who turned 7 years old three days earlier on June 15, 2022😍💙👱🏻‍♂️

Princess Madeleine and her two daughters Leonore and Adrienne arrived in Sweden on June 14 but Nicolas had an earache and had to stay at home in Miami, Florida, where he celebrated his 7th birthday together with his dad Christopher O'Neill🎈🌴☀️
But two days later on June 17, Nicolas and his dad finally arrived in Sweden and on Saturday Nicolas celebrated his birthday together with his whole family🎂🎁🎉

On 17th May, The President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, and his wife Jenni Haukio started their two-day visit to Sweden.

On 18th May, the Queen and Mrs Haukio visited the Swedish Academy, where the Swedish Academy's Permanent Secretary Mats Malm spoke about the academy's work with dictionaries, scholarships, the Nobel Prize in Literature and the publication of books. They also got to see an exhibition of archival objects.

At the Nordic Museum, the Queen and Mrs Haukio visited an activity center for Ukrainian children run in collaboration with the non-profit organization Beredskapslyftet.💙

At Berga naval base, the King, President Niinistö and Prince Carl Philip were given a demonstration of the Amphibious Regiment's and Fourth Naval Fleet's ships and equipment.
