Some owners of the latest iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have complained that their rear-facing cameras shake "uncontrollably" and make bizarre sounds while using social media applications. Apple is currently working on a software update for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max to fix the issue.

The shaking issues of iPhone 14 pro come from the bug optical image stabilization hardware, which may also lead to rattling sounds while using certain third-party applications. When a user takes a photo with an iPhone, it will start to shake because the stabilization technology will automatically adjust the camera's position, so it doesn't end up with a blurry image. While this issue is being resolved, it's definitely not a good idea to play around with the camera system because you might end up physically damaging the hardware.

Have you ever remembered how a song sounded but not with the title? It must be feel annoying. In today's advanced technology, we could use sound recognition to identify the name of audio-visual content. One of the popular sound recognition apps is Shazam.

Shazam is an application that allows users to identify music, movies, and other forms of audio-visual material based on short listening audio. Users may identify content from a wide variety of sources using Shazam.

To get started with the app, all you need to do is download the app from Play Store or the Apple Store on your mobile device. After that, you only need to open the app and press the Shazam-branded button to identify the sound.

Nowadays, robots are capable of learning from data. Two of the most popular techniques that can be used are reinforcement learning and imitation.

Observing individuals doing their tasks helps researchers develop more intuitive training algorithms. For instance, Carnegie Mellon University researchers have made a new learning method for robots called WHIRL (Human-to-Robot Imitation in the Wild) that can be used to teach robots to imitate human behaviour.

WHIRL is a robust algorithm for one-shot visual imitation. This algorithm can be used for the robot to learn directly from videos of human interaction and then generalize that knowledge to apply to activities. People are always doing many different things in their homes. A robot that uses WHIRL can watch what human do and collect the video data it needs to figure out how to do the work.

Cybersecurity specialists from Akamai Technologies have identified a new fake campaign involving Amazon's name. The campaign promotes a fraudulent "Amazon to create its own digital token" scheme. The scammer also used a fake news site "CNBC Decoded" to convince investors.

In the beginning, the scammer was publishing fake social media posts in groups interested in cryptocurrencies. Users will be redirected to the fake news site "CNBC Decoded" when they click on a post which includes an article about the soon-to-be-released "Amazon crypto token". The scammer gave visitors about 30 seconds to read the fake article and then it will automatically redirect them to a domain that offers pre-sale tokens. Pre-sale tokens can only be purchased using cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Since there is no token, the funds will go to the scammer's wallet.

The AiryxOS operating system, which is currently in its early phases of development, attempts to combine the interface and program design of macOS with the flexibility of FreeBSD. The OpenNMS Group's Vice President of Engineering, Zoë Knox, is the main developer of this project.

The interesting part of AiryxOS are it will have source compatibility with macOS applications (i.e. you could compile a Mac application on airyxOS and run it), similar GUI metaphors and familiar UX (file manager, application launcher, top menu bar that reflects the open application, etc), compatible with macOS folder layouts (/Library, /System, /Users, /Volumes, etc), and also self-contained applications in App Bundles, AppDirs, and AppImage files - an installer-less experience for /Applications.

Google is working on a mixed reality headset called "Project Iris" which is expected to be released in 2024. According to a report by The Verge citing two people familiar with the project, Iris uses an "outward-facing camera to blend computer graphics with a real-world video feed, creating a more immersive mixed reality experience than the existing AR glasses like Snap and Magic Leap" it is more immersive because opaque viewing systems provide a much wider field of view than the transparent waveguide optics required for glasses.

The hardware is powered by a custom Google processor, like its newest Google Pixel smartphone, and runs on Android. Google seems to be planning to deliver "some graphics" from its data center. They are potentially using the existing Stadia GPU infrastructure. If Iris also supports VR, it can provide much better graphics than a mobile chip without the need for a PC.

For your information, VR (Virtual Reality) immerses people into a completely virtual environment, AR (Augmented Reality) creates an overlay of virtual content, but people can't interact with the environment, and MR (Mixed Reality) is a mixed of virtual reality and the reality, it creates virtual objects that can interact with the actual environment.

This project is under the leadership of Clay Bavor, who reports directly to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai. The core team working on the headset is roughly 300 people, including the former chief engineer of Google Assistant, the former CTO of light field camera startup Lytro, and experienced operating system developer Mark Lukovsky, who helped build the Windows kernel in the 90s.

Android smartphone can transfer WhatsApp chat history with another android smartphone natively using WhatsApp application with the help of google drive backup. Samsung users who want to switch to the iPhone can transfer their WhatsApp chat history using the SmartSwitch app without any problem. Some android brands don't provide a transfer app, so WhatsApp users need more effort to move their chat to iPhone because in iPhone the backup is using iCloud meanwhile in android the backup is using google drive.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp for iOS beta version 22.2.74 will have the option to import users Android chat histories to the iPhone. The "Move to iOS" app and an Android 12 smartphone are required to transfer your chat history to your iPhone.

WABetaInfo also notes that WhatsApp for Android version 2.21.2.0.11 has new data that shows the app is working to make this feature available in both versions. The changelog says that the "Move to iOS" app will be needed to migrate from one operating system to another.

It has been confirmed on Microsoft news page that they will acquire Activision Blizzard for $95.00 per share, in an all-cash transaction valued at $68.7 billion.

One of the biggest questions that came up is whether Call of Duty will stay on the PlayStation console or become an Xbox exclusive.

Phil Spencer, head of Xbox and Microsoft Gaming, released a statement on Twitter that saying "Had good calls this week with leaders at Sony. I confirmed our intent to honor all existing agreements upon acquisition of Activision Blizzard and our desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation. 07/02/2022

Researchers have discovered that an attacker may be able to get control of a user's account using flaws in the Umbraco CMS platform. Umbraco is an open source content management system (CMS) that has more than 730,000 active installations throughout the world. An application URL overwrite vulnerability, and a persistent password reset problem were both disclosed by AppCheck researchers in a blog post published on Monday (January 18th) (CVE-2022-22691 & CVE-2022-22690). Researchers have discovered two security flaws that might be exploited by a hostile actor to gain control of a user's account.

ApplicationUrl is used whenever application code needs to construct a URL linking to the site. For the example, the program provides a URL for a password reset when users reset their password. If the application URL is not explicitly defined in Umbraco, an attacker can change this value and direct users to their URL. Researchers found that when a user resets their password, the Current.RuntimeState.ApplicationUrl variable contains the attacker-controlled URL since this URL was constructed using the susceptible ApplicationUrl.

Umbraco published patches to address the security issues that had been brought to their attention. The cached ApplicationUrl is no longer used for password resets or user invitations. Administrators are now alerted via a health check procedure when the UmbracoApplicationUrl has not been set up properly and are encouraged to make the necessary changes. Once they're in place, none of the vulnerabilities discussed here can be exploited.

Safari 15 has a vulnerability that may leak your browser history and your identity. The problem issues from a bug in IndexedDB, an application programming interface (API) for storing structured data. The bug affects the latest macOS, iOS, and iPadOS users. Meanwhile, Mac users can avoid the issue by using a third-party browser.

FingerprintJS, a browser fingerprinting and fraud detection firm, discovered the IndexedBD vulnerability in Safari 15. The API uses the same-origin policy, which prevents documents and scripts from interacting with resources from different origins. This enables a browser safeguard a session in one tab from a website in another tab.

However, the researchers at FingerprintJS have found that Apple's implementation of IndexedDB violates the policy. An attacker might be exploit to gain access to your browsing activity or identity attached to your Google account.
