A large congenital nevus involving the facial region has been surgically excised through a staged reconstructive approach.
This type of lesion carries not only a psychosocial burden, but also a measurable risk of malignant transformation over time. Early intervention is often critical.
Tissue redistribution techniques, including cervical flap transfer, were utilized to restore structural integrity while preserving function. As expected, secondary refinement of the chin region will be required to optimize contour and symmetry.
At this stage, the primary objective has been achieved:
the high-risk melanocytic lesion has been successfully removed.
What remains is not just healing…
but the gradual reconstruction of identity, function, and future quality of life.
