“The Social Reckoning” Dijadwalkan Rilis 9 Oktober 2026

Sony Pictures mengonfirmasi bahwa film kelanjutan The Social Network akan tayang di bioskop pada 9 Oktober 2026 dengan judul resmi “The Social Reckoning.” Proyek ini kembali digarap oleh penulis sekaligus sutradara pemenang Oscar Aaron Sorkin, yang sebelumnya menulis naskah film pertama.

Film ini menghadirkan jajaran bintang papan atas. Jeremy Strong akan memerankan pendiri Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Ia akan beradu akting dengan Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, dan komedian sekaligus aktor Bill Burr, yang masing-masing membawa karakter penting dalam kisah terbaru dunia media sosial tersebut.

Sebagai lanjutan dari kesuksesan The Social Network (2010), The Social Reckoning diharapkan mengangkat drama dan ketegangan baru seputar perjalanan Facebook yang kini berevolusi menjadi Meta.

Dozens of Western countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, and the European Union, have called on Israel to immediately reopen the medical corridor between Gaza and the West Bank. This call also includes lifting restrictions on the delivery of medicines and medical equipment to the Gaza Strip.

The WHO warns that Gaza's health system is nearing collapse due to a shortage of medical personnel, medicines, and vital supplies. Since last May, only a small amount of medical aid has entered, despite Israel's claims of allowing some shipments.

The worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, including mass starvation and the destruction of health facilities, has been described by some as bordering on genocide. Some Western countries have even suggested that Palestinian recognition at the UN could be a step towards a lasting solution.

At least 85 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza on Wednesday, despite calls from world leaders for a ceasefire to hold.

Israel launched an intensive offensive on Gaza, causing at least 85 casualties on Wednesday, despite international pressure for a ceasefire. One tragedy occurred at the Nuseirat Stadium, which was originally intended to serve as a refugee shelter—around 12 people, including women and children, were killed in the attack.

While the UN accused Israel of military action of spreading fear among civilians, the Israeli military asserted that the relocation of residents to the south was intended for their safety. According to a UN commission of inquiry report, Israel's pattern of actions indicates an intention to maintain long-term control over Gaza and strengthen Jewish rule in the occupied territory.

Since the conflict began in October 2023, more than 65,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 167,000 injured. The Gaza war has been the focus of global criticism at the UN General Assembly. Amidst this, the US expressed optimism for a diplomatic breakthrough in the coming days, while also presenting Trump's 21-point peace plan to world leaders. However, Netanyahu rejected a ceasefire and again closed the door to the establishment of a Palestinian state, an action accompanied by an intensification of attacks and a blockade that triggered a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
