Y’all, this picture right here? This is motherhood in its purest form. My baby’s all wrapped up like a little burrito, and I’m just over here trying to figure out if I should comfort her or lecture her for jumping in the pool right after I told her not to.

And can we talk about my face? That’s the look of a mama who’s been chasing a toddler around all day, realizing she forgot to reapply sunscreen and that she’s about three minutes away from somebody needing a snack—again. Motherhood is beautiful, y’all, but it’s also 90% trying to keep small humans alive and 10% wondering when you’ll get to sit down again!

Y’all, look at me standing next to Jimmy Kimmel! I told my husband, ‘Honey, I’m going to Hollywood!’ and he said, ‘Well, don’t forget to defrost the chicken before you leave.’ Bless his heart, he really thinks I can remember two things at once.

But here I am, smiling like I didn’t just spend the last hour trying to figure out how to sit in a makeup chair without messing up my Spanx. And let me tell you, being on TV is a lot like hosting Thanksgiving—there are bright lights, a lot of pressure, and at least one person pretending they know what they’re doing… and in this case, that person is me!

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the man who can fix anything… except his own facial expressions!

Now, this right here is my husband, Chuck Morgan. And if you look closely, you’ll see a man who has completely surrendered to grandparenthood. He’s not just a dad anymore—oh no, he’s officially in his granddaddy era.

Chuck used to be a man of action. He fixed things, built things, had opinions about the best way to grill a steak. But now? Now, he just sits in that chair, covered in a baby blanket, trapped under grandbabies, and I swear, he hasn’t moved in hours.

Oh, and don’t let that serious face fool you. That is the face of a man who has just realized he’s been watching Bluey for the last 45 minutes and actually enjoying it.

Chuck Morgan, the man, the myth, the granddad—fully wrapped in love, warmth, and just a hint of exhaustion. And I wouldn’t trade him for the world… unless, of course, someone offers me a trip to the beach with no diaper-changing duties!

Here he is—my husband, Chuck Morgan. A great dad, a loyal husband, and a man who always asks, ‘Where’s the remote?’ even when it’s right in his own hand!

If you look at this picture, you might think, “Wow, Chuck is such a loving dad!” And you’d be right… as long as he remembers he has kids!

Chuck is the kind of dad who hugs his daughters tight and then, five minutes later, asks, “When was the last time you changed your oil?” He loves his family more than anything, but when it comes to household matters? Well, that’s where the comedy happens!

He always says, “I work hard for this family!”—and he really does. But you know who works harder? Me, making sure he *doesn’t* wear his favorite fishing shirt to church!

But here’s the thing… behind all of that, he’s the man who always comes home, who’s always there for his kids, who loves us in his own unique way—by making sure everyone knows their tire pressure every week.

Y’all, I married this man thinking I was getting a strong, dependable husband… turns out, I also got a lifelong roommate who never knows where the scissors are!

This is my sweet husband, Chuck. We’ve been married for over 30 years, and let me tell y’all, he is the best thing that ever happened to me—right after Spanx and drive-thru coffee!

When we first met, I knew he was the one. Not because of some grand romantic gesture, but because he laughed at my jokes, held my hand like he meant it, and never once judged me for ordering dessert before dinner.

Our love story isn’t flashy—it’s built on late-night talks, raising three incredible children, and choosing each other every single day. Now, don’t get me wrong, marriage is hard work! We’ve had our fair share of disagreements, mostly about the thermostat and his complete inability to find anything in the fridge! But through it all, he’s been my rock, my biggest cheerleader, and the reason I still believe in happily ever after.

Y’all, I always thought menopause was something way off in the future—like flying cars or my husband finally listening to what I say. But then BAM! One day, I woke up in the middle of the night, sweating like a rotisserie chicken at Walmart, crying over a commercial about a dog reuniting with its owner. My hormones are acting like a teenage girl with PMS, except I’ve been paying taxes for 30 years and my back cracks every time I get off the couch.

And what’s crazier is nobody warned me this was gonna be a full-blown rollercoaster with no seatbelt! The doctor just said, ‘Oh, it’s a natural phase of life.’ A natural phase? Look, natural is when my hair slowly turns gray—not when I suddenly throw the remote at my husband because he’s breathing too loud! So if we gotta go through this, we might as well laugh about it. Oprah, girl, let’s talk about this before I start crying again for no reason!

I’ve been a wife and a mom for 30 years. And let me tell y’all, being a mom is nothing like in the movies. There’s no waking up peacefully, sipping coffee, and having your kids come in saying, “Mother, thank you for bringing us into this world.” No, ma’am!

In my house, mornings sound like a fire alarm going off. I barely open my eyes before a kid is yelling, I don’t have any socks! Well, honey, why would I know where your socks are? Do I look like Google Maps for lost laundry?

And my husband? Bless his heart. He’s a grown man, but he still calls me every time he can’t find something. “Babe, have you seen the remote?” Darling, I am not a psychic!

But honestly, as chaotic as it is, I wouldn’t trade my family for anything. Because at the end of the day, they’re the ones who make my life full of love… and full of laundry!
