Lisa always described herself as a daddy’s girl. One of the memories she holds dear is the unconditional love and protection Elvis showed her. In the 1970s, Elvis Presley, the "King of Rock and Roll," sadly passed away when his only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, was just 9 years old.
In her book, From Here to the Great Unknown, Lisa shared a special story about her father. Once, she was spending the night at a friend’s house in the neighborhood. The next morning, as she was leaving, an older woman, a neighbor, saw Lisa and started calling her names and badmouthing her father, saying, "He thinks he`s the king of everything!" Lisa was shocked and hurt, as she had never heard anyone speak ill of her dad.

When Lisa got home, she told Elvis about the incident. Elvis listened carefully and then asked, "Where does she live?" Lisa gave him the address, and soon after, Elvis decided to take her to meet the woman. They drove to her house, and Elvis, dressed in one of his iconic outfits, stepped out of the car. Lisa watched as they talked for a few minutes, and by the end of the conversation, the woman had asked Elvis for an autograph and posed for a smiling photo with him.
For Lisa, this was a precious memory of a father who was always there to protect her, act with love, and show understanding, even in difficult situations. She saw Elvis not only as a music legend but also as a wonderful father, who was always ready to stand up for and love his family.
