Turn around time

They are all under 2 and a half months old because we mated the parents at about the same period because we wanted synchronized birthing that makes it easier for treatment and general management because they are agemates.
Importantly we vaccinated the pregnant mothers a bit late for worms and about 8 were stillborn or too weak after birth.

Thanks to Toopiwa Toto Ditshwenyego we managed to raise to here 14 kids and 6 lambs and we will never fail on basics of a proper vaccination schedule so we look like this. She is a livestock advisor, please speak with her and look like this or better.
Thanks to Nash West Stable, he came for horses but became key in ensuring we get to here, kea leboga thata.

Beautiful Cycle of Success

We are now at the stage of a full cycle from eggs to hatchlings to youth and adults. In 4 to 6 months we will be at 200 eggs per day from about 400 birds and create a cycle of selling at 100 P**a each 150 birds per month with 76 eggs in incubation and at the moment we send 20 to 30 eggs per week to the incubator.

This is Mr Keitumetse Modori, a Boer goat stud breeder at Zoojena cattle post just outside Letlhakane. He is the proprietor of Bob Modori Boer Goat Farm and he was financed by CEDA to acquire these high breed goats.

He is a serious and passionate small stock farmer who specializes in Boer goat stud breeding. Here we are talking of goats that can fetch as high as P300,000 per goat.

He counts among his customers President Mokgweetsi Masisi who once bought a buck(phoko) from him for a whooping P35,000. Yeah these diphoko that the President is giving away cost a leg and an arm.

Mr Ndori was inspired to venture into Boer goat stud breeding after he realized that many Batswana cross the borders to get them from outside the country. He says we should give him just two years then he will be counted among Botswana’s millionaires and we have no reason to doubt him given the viability of his project.

The challenge with Integrated Farming is that to set it up, in our case 8 animal Species in 18 months is the care, nutrition, vaccination, housing amongst others.
The beauty then my brethren is here when yesterday we welcomed 2 kids worth 2 000 and here we are today with 5 stud German Shepherds born an hour ago for a combined worth of 25 000 and yes the chickens have delivered 93 eggs in incubation looking at up to 80 birds worst case scenario to the combined value of 8 000.
