Hello!!
In everyday life, we always need to make a conversation or maybe write a text. Make sure you avoid these 5 Boring Phrases and know what to use instead, let's check it out!

5 BORING PHRASES AND WHAT TO USE INSTEAD

1. A lot
Reason: too simplistic
Solution : try to use these alternative words
- a bulk of …
- a crowd of…
- countless …
- various …
- a great deal of …
example: A crowd of cats are out there.

2. There is, there are (at the beginning of the sentence)
Reason: meaningless
Solution: try to restructure the sentence
Example :
- There are a lot of people on the stage. (don't use this)
- Countless of people are on the stage. (use this)

3. Kind of, sort of
Reason: this phrase is slang, indecisive and informal
Solution: delete it
Kind of is commonly used in American English while sort of is commonly used in British English.
They are phrases that tone down other words to make them imprecise.
Example:
- This outfit is kind of not suitable for a wedding party, isn’t it? (don't use this)
- This outfit is not suitable for a wedding party, isn’t it? (use this)

4. Well
Reason: meaningless
Solution: you can use it less frequently or just drop it.
"Well" acts as a filler and has no grammatical utility other than conveying emotion so think about it if you want to use it.

5. At this moment in time
Reason: this phrase is overused
Solution: try to use the alternatives
• At the moment
• At this time
• Instantly
• Now
• presently
• Currently
• Immediately
