There are TWO separate planning applications before An Coimisiún Pleanála for the Peaker Plant and its associated Cable Route in our area. The deadline to submit observations for the Cable Route is:

Because these are two separate applications, you need to submit TWO separate objections to have your say.

🚨 CASHLA PEAKER PROJECT UPDATE 🚨

A second application (ABP Ref: 324162) has now been lodged for a substation and 8km cable route linked to the proposed Cashla Peaker Plant.

📍 Route: Coffey Construction → Castlelambert → Lisheenkyle → Cashla

The peaker plant and grid connection are one connected project, yet they are being assessed separately.

We believe this is the wrong site, with the wrong cable route, assessed in the wrong way.

We now urgently need funding for a second expert submission and are approximately €1,500 short.

The peaker plant decision is coming late summer — but the cable, mast & substation application is LIVE RIGHT NOW. Objections close Tuesday 26th May. Don't miss it.

Why two separate applications for one project? We don't have a confirmed answer — but here's what it means for our community:

❌ Double the professional costs
