Balbriggan Tidy Towns

Balbriggan Tidy Towns We are a voluntary group which promotes the Tidy Towns competition and ideals in Balbriggan. Or why not adopt a patch?

Get involved in Balbriggan Tidy Towns by joining our works party any Saturday morning @ 11am on Balbriggan beach or 10.30am at Moylaragh playground. Choose a public area which you think you could maintain, tell us about it and we will provide you with some resources and support. Balbriggan is a fabulous, sea-side town, steeped in history and natural beauty; we aim to promote and enhance its charm,

making it an even more pleasant place to live and visit. In the national Tidy Towns competition we have increased our score year on year and have won two Endeavour Awards in the last 5 years.

It is with sadness that we have learnt of the death of our friend and former volunteer John (Tony) O'Sullivan. John was a long term member, when our group was smaller, and he always added a certain style to the team with his distinctive hat.
We extend our sincere sympathy to Stepen, Eoin, Niamh and all his family and friends at this sad time.

It was great to welcome staff from Sherwin-Williams, Belfast and Dublin, who joined us for a beach clean, this morning. Their first time in Balbriggan, which didn't fail to impress.

We're happy to report that there was minimal litter to be found but we appreciate their support as it allows us to keep our beaches consistently clean and not get out of hand.
Thank you everyone.

Amazing work yesterday from the young volunteers from SMC North Group who spent the afternoon with our Gardening Group weeding, watering and tidying up around the town yesterday. They brought enthusiasm and good humour to their tasks. A real blessing to us. Thank you to Darren and the SMC team and of course our ever present Gardening Group for a great day's work.
