Emmerdale has dropped an emotional new clip, revealing a surprising ally for Dylan Penders in the wake of his recent return to the village.
Dylan came back to the Dales this week after a four-month absence spent in rehab. He was discovered by his friend April Windsor, hiding in the graveyard bushes, and the two shared a happy reunion.

However, this wasn't his first time back. Earlier in the week, he had broken into Butler's Farm, where a masked Dylan was stabbed with a pitchfork by Kyle Wi******er, leaving him with a nasty wound.
Next Monday (August 4), April is horrified to see the extent of Dylan's leg injury. When he refuses medical attention, April takes him to the vet's, where Paddy Di**le discreetly patches him up.

In the newly-released clip, Paddy gives the kids a lifeline, handing over antibiotics leftover from a recent dog attack. He instructs Dylan on how to take the medication but stresses that he needs to seek proper medical help.

April explains that Dylan is sleeping rough at the cricket pavilion and has no family to rely on. Paddy feels he's done all he can, but as he watches Dylan limp away, he has a change of heart and decides to offer him refuge.

Meanwhile, a second clip teases big trouble for Ross Barton. Next week, Ross and Steph Miligan are set to rekindle their romance, thanks in part to a little help from Ross's half-brother, Lewis.

Ruby is thrilled and suggests a celebratory lunch with her husband. When a busy Caleb turns her down, Manpreet happily steps in. But the Miligans' joy might be short-lived as the doctor starts to open up about her own love life.

As readers know, Manpreet recently slept with Ross during his break-up with Steph—a secret Ross has kept hidden. Will Manpreet accidentally reveal everything, letting the cat out of the bag?

Coronation Street

A dramatic episode of Corrie on Friday, July 25, 2025, saw brothers Kevin and Carl expose each other's secrets, leading to a massive confrontation and the potential end of their relationship.

Kevin's Cancer Lie Exposed

Kevin has been deceiving his wife, Abi, about his cancer recovery. Despite receiving the all-clear weeks ago, Kevin told Abi that he still needed more chemotherapy. His reasoning for this lie was to try and save his marriage, which has been strained since he learned of Abi's mutual attraction to Carl.

Carl's Criminal Enterprise Uncovered

Meanwhile, Carl has been secretly using Kevin's garage to facilitate a criminal operation involving fake MOTs for stolen cars. His illicit dealings came to light when Kevin overheard Carl discussing a new stolen car with his contact, Fiona. Kevin attempted to pursue Fiona as she fled with the vehicle but became faint, leading to Glenda taking him to the hospital.

Double Confrontation at the Hospital

At the hospital, the simmering tensions between the half-brothers exploded. Kevin confronted Carl about his criminal activities. However, Carl had also uncovered Kevin's lie about his cancer, using this knowledge as leverage. The situation escalated into threats, with Kevin threatening to go to the police about Carl's crimes, and Carl retorting that he would reveal Kevin's deception to Abi.

A Precarious Truce and Police Scrutiny

Just as Carl was about to expose Kevin's secret, Abi walked in, sensing the tension but unaware of the full truth. The brothers managed to keep their heated discussion private for the moment. However, Carl soon faced immediate consequences as a police officer began asking questions about the stolen car. The episode concluded with Kevin declaring Carl "dead" to him upon Carl's return home, leaving their relationship in tatters and their secrets hanging precariously.

A shocking twist up the Dales confirms John's freedom for now, despite brother Robert's relentless pursuit of justice for Nate's death.

Tonight's episode - streaming-first on ITVX - plunges Robert into despair as his attempts to expose serial killer John hit a major roadblock. Robert arrives at the police station armed with compelling evidence: Owen Michaels, the man John has framed, has a rock-solid alibi. Owen's own brother, Steve, admitted they were together on a criminal job in Hull the day Nate died. But getting Steve to repeat that to the authorities? That's another story entirely.

Indeed, tonight's helping of Emmerdale sees Robert crushed when Steve, putting his own neck first, backs out of his crucial testimony. Enter DC Cole, who delivers a chilling warning to Robert to abandon his "amateur detective work."

Cole spells it out: "Steve Michaels not only recently realised that his brother killed himself, but also that he'd murdered someone. He's got a lot going on and he neither understands or appreciates your involvement in any of this. I advised him of his right to make a formal complaint of harassment against you. He was hoping that a warning from me might motivate you to back off. Consider this that warning."
The drama escalates further when Steve storms into the village and physically assaults Robert, issuing a stark "or else" warning to cease his investigations. This crushing blow ensures John walks free for the foreseeable future, simultaneously igniting a standalone battle for Robert against his manipulative brother. Prepare for explosive episodes ahead!

Ryan Hawley, who portrays Robert, recently teased the gripping future of the show on ITV's Lorraine: "It's such a good year going forward. I'm honestly so excited over where the show is currently going. It just feels like a great time to be involved in it." On Robert finally unmasking John, Hawley remained tight-lipped but hopeful: "Well, we hope that's going to happen. But will it? I can't really give anything away in that sense, but there's a lot of obstacles that Robert has to overcome before that's going to happen."

Fiona Phillips

When our beloved television presenter Fiona Phillips received her Alzheimer's diagnosis back in 2022, her husband Martin Frizzell lived up to their wedding vows of in sickness and in health.

However, the former This Morning producer, who has been married to Fiona for 28 years, has disclosed how living with the brain degenerative illness is becoming increasingly distressing.

Alzheimer's disease represents the most prevalent cause of dementia across the UK, triggering a continuous decline in brain function including memory, cognitive abilities and other capacities. This progressive, life-limiting illness has remained the UK's primary cause of death for the past decade.

revealed to BBC Newsnight during a recent interview: "I used to say good days and bad days, now I just say bad days or wretched days, I think wretched is a great word for it,."

Martin also shared how the condition has impacted his wife: "In the cab ride, 35 minutes, she asked me 72 times, where are we going?'".

During another interview, he heartbreakingly confessed that whilst she does recognise him, she occasionally fails to comprehend that he is her husband and once believed he was abducting her.
He described the harsh realities of the illness, recounting moments when Fiona begs to 'go home' to her parents, not realising they have passed away. He explained: "She does recognise me most of the time - she doesn't quite know I'm her husband - but she knows who I am. Every now and then she'll want to go home to her parents and I haven't the heart to say 'they aren't here'."

I would like to take a moment to express my deepest sympathy for the challenges they both have to face. It takes immense strength and dedication to support a loved one through such heartbreaking and difficult times. Martin's commitment to caring for his wife is truly admirable and inspiring to others. Wishing them both comfort and strength during this period. May they find moments of peace amidst all of the extremely tough challenges.

Rest In Peace Ozzy Osbourne

The original Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourn, a true rock and heavy metal legend, has died at age 76, only weeks after his farewell Black Sabbath concert.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his family said in a statement signed by wife Sharon and their children Kelly, Jack, and Aimee, as well as his son Louis from his prior marriage to Thelma Riley. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

The Black Sabbath rocker lived with Parkinson’s disease. Earlier this month Ozzy played what was dubbed his “final bow” from a throne at Villa Park here in the U.K.

Outside of music, Ozzy also had an influence on pop culture: He became a part of the first reality TV show family thanks to his hit MTV show, The Osbournes, which documented the chaotic, often hilarious home life he shared with wife Sharon and their children, Kelly and Jack. The show also illuminated darker sides of his personal life, however, as it revealed his struggles with substance abuse and health issues. The show ran for four seasons, from 2002 to 2005.

In addition to Parkinson’s, the musician also suffered other health issues, such as a severe staph infection in 2018 and multiple spinal surgeries following a fall that aggravated an old injury.

Sharon Osbourne, who's been married to Ozzy Osbourne for over 40 years, told Billboard the idea for "Back to the Beginning," the all-day benefit concert held in Birmingham, England, on July 5, was hers.

The event was billed as Osbourne and Black Sabbath's final show ever.

“It was my idea,” she said, “because [Ozzy’s] one regret was he didn’t get the chance to say thank you to his fans before he finished his world tour. We were in the middle of his [2018 No More Tours 2] world tour, his retirement tour; we’d only done about nine months of the tour and he got sick.”

The benefit marked the first time in 20 years that the original bandmates had come together to perform. An accompanying concert film, Back to the Beginning: Ozzy's Final Bow, containing footage from the show, is also reportedly scheduled for release in early 2026.

Osbourne felt compelled to perform onstage a final time, in spite of his declining health.

Sharon told Billboard, “He kept saying, ‘It’s my one regret’ and ‘I want a chance to really say thank you.’ And this is what we thought would be the best way to do it. It’s a celebration of Ozzy and Sabbath and the music.”

May he rest in eternal peace!!

A truly heartwarming moment in Golborne — an elderly man was clearly struggling after popping to the shops, slowly making his way down the street. A young lad noticed, stopped to check on him, then carried his bags and gently supported him the whole way home.

Huge gratitude and respect to that young man — he's a fantastic credit to his parents!! 👍🏻✨️👌🏼
